We all celebrate the amazing festival of Dussera in India and all over the globe. It is a festival which we all love and enjoy. It’s a part of culture and custom so it’s a festival of pride for Indian people. Dussera is a festival which comes after Durga pooja on 10th day we celebrate Dussera a festival of light. This year means in 2019 we celebrate this festival on 8 October.

1. Essay on Dussehra (100 words)

Dussehra a festival we all celebrate in September or October month of any year. It is a festival of Hindu which we all celebrate. On this day lord ram kill the evil Ravana the king of Shri Lanka.

This festival comes after the nine-day Navratri festival of Mata Durga.Before killing the Ravana lord ram worship Mata Durga during the Navratri festival for higher power and excellence.

Ravana captured Mata sita due to which the war happens between the lord ram and Ravana. Lord ram kill Ravana and opened a new era of life.

2. Essay on Dussehra (300 words)

Dussehra also called Vijayadashami because lord ram kills the demon king Ravan on Dashami tithi of Hindu calendar. This is a festival of Vijaya(wining) over darkness by lord ram.

Historically saying when lord ram got exile for 14 years all this happening occur during this period. Ravana kidnapped Mata sita and take with him with the help of puspak viman of the ancient yuga.

when lord ram know that Ravan has kidnapped Mata sita with he started searching her in between his track lord ram found jatayu he tells him to go and search in south direction. Lord ram reached the south end of India to reach Lanka he made a setu (bridge) called a “Ramsetu”.

The war between the ram and Ravan takes around 13 days to complete .he killed all the evils which are supporting Ravana .it was a historical day when he frees every person from the demon king Ravan.

As we know ram was the future king of Ayodhya but due to some region he gets exile for 14 years and during the  war between ram and Ravan he never takes any help from the army of Ayodhya or any person related to his kingdom instead he make his own army with the help of vanar sena.

So Dussehra is a great festival of victory over evilness over evil power which is destructing our nature our mankind. So enjoy the festival as you like.

3. Essay on Dussehra (600 words)

Dussera a festival in which we all love, a festival which comes in September or October month of any year. The festival of joy and happiness. A day when we all celebrate winning of truth over all the devil thinking.

Dussehra is a festival in which we all burn the effigy of Ravana a sign of evilness. We all celebrate the festival of Dussera due to the killing of Ravana on Dashami tithi by lord ram.

Lord ram got exile of 14 years by his father dashrath the king of Ayodhya. Evil king Ravana captured sita Mata from The Panchavati forest with the help of marich brother of Ravana. Ravana takes Mata sita from the forest to Lanka with the help of puspak viman (plain).

when lord ram started finding his wife he met with injured jatau he tells him to go for south direction to find Mata sita he met with hanuman and sugugrive in between and with the help of his vanar sena (army) he makes a  bridge over the sea and reaches the Lanka where lord ram started the war with the demon king Ravana.

On Dashami tithi Ravana was killed by lord ram and the day he was killed is celebrated as Vijayadashami or Dussera. To celebrate this festival we burn the effigy of Ravana .after 20 days of Dussera we celebrate another grate festival bigger than Dussera called Diwali.

To celebrate dessert in India people make special food at their home by doing the prayer of Durga Mata. To enjoy the festival in India many places organize fairs may be for one day or for all the 10 days.

the major places to celebrate Dussera in India is Kullu Dussera. Kullu is a district of Himachal Pradesh it is known for his  Dussera festival fair it is an International Mega Dussehra festival celebrated every year about 4 to 5 lac people come here not only from India but also from other countries from all over the world
In Kullu, the Dussera fair is celebrated for 7 days from the date of Dussehra to the next more 6 days. In fair people buy many unique things like pashmina blanket Himachal Pradesh is known as dev Bhoomi many devs come here to the festival.

 Mysore Dussehra another place where we celebrate the Dussehra festival after Kullu Dussera. Mysore is a city of Karnataka state, where people celebrate this mega festival. they prey Goddess Chamundeshwari during this festival. people celebrate this festival by doing fireworks and laser shows during the night.

One of the main attractions of Mysore Dusssera is Mysore the palace which is decorated with a lot of light bulb and it looks pretty amazing during night time.
